To design, manufacture, and integrate custom electrical and metal-mechanical solutions that guarantee safety, efficiency, and quality, backed by international certifications and close support, becoming the strategic partner for critical energy, industrial, and hospitality projects.

To consolidate ourselves as the regional hub for electrical and metal-mechanical solutions from Puerto Rico to the Caribbean and the United States, recognized for our technical capacity, manufacturing sustainability, customer diversification, and world-class certifications that position us as an industry benchmark.

To drive the energy and industrial development of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean through reliable, innovative, and sustainable electrical and metal-mechanical solutions, building progress with a global vision from local roots.

Our Core Values

Reliability

In electrical and industrial projects, failure is not an option. That is why we act with precision, commitment, and responsibility, delivering solutions that work and meet the most demanding technical standards.

Resilience

We are a company that moves forward firmly in the face of market challenges. Our history and family DNA drive us to remain solid, adapt, and continue building solutions even in complex contexts.

Local Pride

We are a Puerto Rican company committed to the island's development, with solutions manufactured here that drive industry, energy, and progress across the Caribbean and the United States.

Technical Capabilities

Working with the most demanding materials

Stainless Steel

The ultimate choice for extreme environments. It ensures maximum hygiene and resistance to chemicals and extreme salinity, maintaining structural integrity where other metals fail.

Aluminum

Lightweight yet robust, our aluminum solutions are specifically engineered for power lines and substations. It offers excellent electrical conductivity and natural resistance to rust.

Galvanized Steel

High-strength carbon steel coated with protective zinc. It provides exceptional structural durability and superior protection against atmospheric corrosion.

Service Capabilities

  • Federal Compliance: Our manufacturing processes facilitate approval for projects funded under the Buy American Act.

  • Total Control: Located in Florida, PR, we oversee every stage—from raw material sourcing to final finishing—surpassing the most stringent inspections.

  • Safety First: We guarantee that all components withstand the load and environmental conditions required by agencies like LUMA and international engineering boards.

  • Collaborative Engineering: We work side-by-side with our clients’ engineers to transform complex blueprints into physical realities.

  • Design Versatility: We offer the capability to create enclosures with special dimensions, precision perforations, and specialized corrosion-resistant coatings.

  • Agility: Our shop structure allows us to pivot and adjust designs quickly—a level of flexibility that large-scale, mass-market manufacturers cannot match.

  • Energy Sector: Manufacturing of substations, transformers, and high-voltage structures (up to 38kV) that serve as the backbone of the electrical grid.

  • Healthcare Sector: Specialized electrical enclosures and systems for hospitals and trauma centers that demand maximum redundancy and protection.

  • Commercial & Industrial Sectors: Robust solutions for manufacturing plants and retail hubs that require long-lasting equipment capable of withstanding high salinity and tropical weather.

Main Milestones

2014
(Pre-2014)
Industrial Origin Prior to Incorporation
The actual operational birth of the industrial platform.

Metalectrik originated from the acquisition of the manufacturing operations of Engineer Metal Forms, a firm previously owned by a group of young engineers. This acquisition established the technical and industrial manufacturing foundation that would later enable the development of a company specialized in electrical infrastructure.

2014
April 7, 2014
Formal Incorporation of the Company
The actual operational birth of the industrial platform.

During this stage, Metalectrik strengthens its capabilities in specialized metal-mechanical fabrication, laying the groundwork for its future focus on high-complexity electrical and industrial projects.

2015
2015–2016
Consolidation of Specialized Manufacturing
Institutional formalization for structured growth.

Metalectrik Manufacturing Corp. is formally incorporated in Puerto Rico, consolidating its legal and administrative structure as a specialized manufacturing enterprise.

2016
2016
Strategic Market Exploration
Early maturity in strategic decision-making.

The company explores the development of industrial ovens for restaurants, manufactured with stainless steel and stone. While technically viable, these products did not reach consistent demand, leading to the strategic decision to refocus efforts on its true core: electrical infrastructure.

2017
2017–2019
Response to Post-Hurricane Maria Recovery
Direct contribution to the reconstruction of the country’s critical infrastructure.

Following Hurricane Maria, Metalectrik plays an active role in restoring Puerto Rico’s power grid, providing:

  • Substations and transformers ranging from 25 kVA to 10 MVA.

  • Solutions for underground and overhead systems island-wide.

  • Improvements, replacements, and rehabilitation of vandalized substations, including components and copper fittings.

  • Manufacturing and installation of ductwork and HVAC systems at the GSA Center in Guaynabo, in collaboration with DDD Group.

2017–2021
Expertise in Power Generation and High Voltage
Positioning in high-complexity power generation projects.

Metalectrik participates in the manufacturing of high-voltage switchgear with vacuum breakers for power generation plants in Puerto Rico, including:

Palo Seco Power Plant: 120 MVA

San Juan Power Plant: 300 MVA

Yabucoa Power Plant: 60 MVA

2020
September 16, 2020
